Cat missing for 55 days in Portage Park found

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A cat is slowly recovering after going missing for 55 days in Portage Park with no food or water.

Amanda Roshan-Rawaan said her sister's cat, Mo, escaped her apartment. It was found and rushed to Premier Veterinary Group for emergency treatment.

Although he is slowly recovering, Roshan-Rawaan said his medical expenses will likely exceed $9,000 - so the family has set up a Go Fund Me campaign.

"Mo is the real deal, and he's a living testament to never giving up on the ones we love," Roshan-Rawaan said.
