CHICAGO (WLS) -- Former President Jimmy Carter, who is in Chicago, said he's been watching the 2016 presidential election closely.
In Chicago to promote his new book, Carter said it's been a pleasure for Democrats to keep up with Republican candidate Donald Trump.
"He's really kind of an irresponsible candidate. He doesn't have any restraints on what he says. I think he's probably reached the limit on his popularity," Carter said.
Carter was at the Seminary Co-Op bookstore in Hyde Park to sign copies of his new autobiography, "A Full Life: Reflections at 90."
