Illinois launches inauguration website

SPRINGFIELD (WLS) -- The official website for the 2015 Illinois Inauguration was launched Monday.

The site, IllinoisInauguration.com, offers visitors access to the schedule of inaugural events, most of which are free and open to the public.

Notable events in Springfield include free daytime admission to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum on Jan. 11, a free "Celebrate Illinois" at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library, free ticketed admission to the Inaugural Ceremony on Jan. 12, a free "open house" with the governor and first lady on Jan. 12 and an Inaugural Concert on Jan. 12.

The Inaugural Concert will replace the traditional Inaugural Ball.
