Mia Love is first African American Republican woman elected to Congress

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Mia Love made history on Election Day. She is the first African American Republican woman ever elected to Congress.



Love will represent Utah's 4th Congressional District when she takes office.



She defeated Democrat Doug Owens in a narrow victory on Tuesday with 50 percent of the votes.
