Pedestrian struck, killed on Dan Ryan Expy. on South Side, ISP says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed on the Dan Ryan on Chicago's South Side on Monday morning, ISP said.

The crash happened at about 4:32 a.m. on the inbound lanes of I-94 near 75th Street, Illinois State Police said.

Police said they responded to a crash involving a Black Chevrolet SUV and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian died at the scene, ISP said.

No other details about the victim were released.

As of 7 a.m. multiple lanes were closed for the investigation.

Traffic was able to get through, however, there were extensive delays on Monday.

All lanes reopened just before 9 a.m., ISP said.
