CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago-based United Airlines is calling on a famous Chicago chef to make up the menu.
Jenner Tomaska is the Michelin-star chef behind Esme and Petite Edith in Chicago.
He's now working with United Airlines to serve first-class food.
Stephen Parkerson, with United Airlines, also joined ABC7 Chicago's Cooking up a Storm Thursday to make an arugula with endive and shaved radish salad.
They said designing an inflight menu requires a different way of thinking. Dishes must be prepared and stored at 35,000 feet.
The menu gives travelers a taste of Chicago, they said.
