Man killed in Lawndale hit-and-run crash identified by officials

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 35-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a hit-and-run crash, local officials said.

The crash happened on Saturday at about 2:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of S. Cicero Avenue, Chicago police said.

Police said the victim was outside when he was struck by a black sedan.

The driver fled the scene.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he died.

The medical examiner identified the victim was Patrick K. Beck of Chicago.

Nobody is in custody.
