CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are warning of a man who tried to sexually abuse a boy in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood.
Officers said the man grabbed the child by the shoulder near East 74th Street and South Shore Drive around 5 p.m. Tuesday and walked him to Rainbow Beach near East 76th Street.
He allegedly tried to pull the boy's pants down. But the child punched him in the groin and ran.
Police said the suspect is described as an African American man in his early 30s with a dark complexion, about 5 ft. 6 in. tall and around 200 lbs.
He has a black goatee and two or three teardrop tattoos on his face. He was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and black and white "Jordans" gym shoes.
