Pumpkins drop, roll in suburban Mundelein

MUNDELEIN, Ill. (WLS) -- Hundreds of people gathered Sunday in north suburban Mundelein for the annual pumpkin roll and drop competitions.

Kids rolled their decorated pumpkins down a hill to see whose would roll the farthest and then smashed their pumpkins for compost.

The pumpkin drop followed, letting people put their pumpkin into a catapult and fire them into the air.
