BROOKSTON, Ind. (WLS) -- A Chicago man who made headlines as a baby was killed in a car crash in Indiana Monday night.

Just before New Year's Day in 1992, Quinn Kyles received a rare and successful heart transplant less than a month after he was born.

Monday night, the 23-year old was driving on I-65 in Lafayette trying to pass a car.

Indiana State Police say the light rain and wet road caused Kyles' car to hydroplane then roll over several times.

Kyles was pronounced dead at the scene.
