Oswego man charged with reckless driving after hitting cyclists

OSWEGO, Ill. (WLS) -- Police have charged Lamar Smith, 40, with reckless driving after he lost control of his car and struck a group of bicyclists.

Police say Smith lost control of his car on Route 34 in Oswego and struck the bicyclists, who were on a sidewalk. Two adults and four children were hit and were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Smith is due in bond court Monday.
