Chef Rick Bayless awards culinary scholarships to two CPS students

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Celebrity Chef Rick Bayless has cooked up scholarships for students looking to launch careers in the culinary arts.

He presented the awards to two Chicago Public School students at his restaurant on North Clark Wednesday.

The scholarships are for full rides to Kendall College.

Bayless set up a program that selects outstanding youngsters who show a genuine interest in the hospitality industry.

The winners also get to do an internship at Bayless' restaurants and travel with him to Mexico.
