Fernando Madera, 31, charged in hair salon robbery

EAST CHICAGO, Ill. (WLS) -- Charges have been filed in connection with an armed robbery captured on camera inside a hair salon in East Chicago, Ind.

The owner came face-to-face with the alleged robber, who was masked. Police say the suspect, 31-year-old Fernando Madera, pointed a gun right in her face.

The owner and a customer in the salon at the time were not hurt.
