CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Illinois Department of Public Health is investigating after five residents were rushed to the hospital Saturday from a nursing home on Chicago's Northwest Side.
The incident happened at the Continental Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in the 5300-block of North Western Avenue.
A spokesman said it's unclear what caused the residents to get sick, but they apparently all suffered from similar symptoms.
The facility, which has 172 residents, treats a variety of patients for a number of issues ranging from rehab and physical therapy to dialysis and hospice.
