Neighbors want tanning salon owned by alleged rapist to stay closed

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A West Loop condo association wants to make sure that accused serial rapist, Marc Winner, cannot reopen his tanning salon.

Winner is out on bond after being charged in four rape cases. He is accused of sexually assaulting customers of his tanning salon, Soleil.

Soleil is on the ground floor of a condo building on West Madison.

Unit owners in the condo building sent Alderman Danny Solis (25th Ward) a letter asking him to do whatever he can to make sure Winner's salon stays closed, saying, "There could hardly be any greater public menace" in the neighborhood.

The city shut down the tanning salon in late May because of an expired business license.
