None hurt after shots fired outside South Side elementary school

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating after shots were fired near an elementary school in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood Friday morning, police said.

No injuries were reported in the shooting outside Morrill Elementary School in the 6000-block of South Rockwell Street, police said. Some criminal damage was reported.

The school was briefly placed on lockdown.
