ABC7's Leah Hope emcees Phenomenal Woman Awards

CHICAGO (WLS) -- African American women were celebrated Thursday night at the Phenomenal Woman Awards.

The gala was held at the Hyatt Regency. The award recognizes women for their excellence and community service. It's a precursor to the Black Women's Expo, which will be held this weekend.

ABC7's Leah Hope served as emcee for the event.
