BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (WLS) -- The largest tow truck gathering in the world took place Sunday in southwest suburban Bridgeview.
Rows and rows of tow trucks as far as the eye could see made Toyota Park in Bridgeview a little kid's dream. There were over 200 shiny and colorful trucks at the park for children to enjoy.
"I love them all because they are pretty big and they tow stuff," said 8-year-old Brenden Burrow.
This was the third year Brenden attended the annual Tow Trucks for Tots parade and party. His dad said he learned to admire trucks from his father and wants to carry on the family tradition.
"When I was small we'd pull into the truck stops, look at all the trucks. On our way home when it got dark we'd look at all the truck lights," said Brent Burrow, Brenden's father.
All the truck drivers who participated brought a donated toy or two. The gifts will be distributed to children in need around the country for the holidays thanks to Toys for Tots.
