College student brings tiny house with him to school

As kids head back to college many may be worried about housing, but one University of Michigan student brought his own tiny home with him.

Chris Cerk built the 170-square-foot house himself and just moved it from Traverse City to Ann Arbor.

He found a landlord who is letting him park the house on his lot.

Cerk used to pay $800 a month to rent an apartment near campus. The house cost $1,300.

He expects to save money by living in it for a few years.
