Sony offers discount because of network blackout

Sony is offering PlayStation owners who were impacted by the network outages over Christmas a discount at the PlayStation store.

Sony's network was out of commission for several days due to an attack by hackers.

The company has announced in a blog post that it is now rewarding users' patience with getting the system back online with 10 percent off the PlayStation store.
