Mackinac yacht race sets sail

CHICAGO (WLS) -- More than 300 boats are sailing in the 106th annual Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac.

The vessels took off from Monroe Harbor around 11 a.m. Saturday morning.

The cruising division started Friday afternoon.

They are the sailboats that will take their time.

It's a 333-mile journey across Lake Michigan to Mackinac Island.
