CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Cubs honored Lennie Merullo, the oldest living Cub, and Saturday afternoon the 97-year-old threw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field.
Merullo is the last remaining player from the 1945 World Series team.
"The cubs are known for their hope for another World Series, and that's me," Merullo said.
This year the team is celebrating the 100th birthday of Wrigley Field by marking every decade. This weekend are celebrating the 1940's.
