ST. CHARLES, Ill. (WLS) -- A St. Charles North High School employee is accused of having sexual contact with a minor, police said.

Prosecutors say Christopher A. Lee allegedly had sexual contact with the victim, who was younger than 18-years old at the time, sometime between Feb. 1 and May 6. Police began investigating the alleged relationship after receiving an anonymous tip.

Lee, 29, was taken into custody Wednesday and faces two counts of criminal sexual assault and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

He worked as a dean's assistant at the school, helping administrators and counselors, monitoring the hallways, and checking people in and out of the building. He is currently suspended without pay, but administrators will move to fire him on Monday during a board meeting.

Parents were told of Lee's arrest by email and students learned of the situation from teachers inside the classroom. Those with more information were asked to contact police.

Officials said an anonymous tip was given to the school's student resource officer. St. Charles School District 303 Superintendent Don Scholmann released a statement, "Student safety is our top priority and with that in mind, we will conduct an internal review of this incident in order to learn if there is anything we could have done differently."

His bond was set Friday at $150,000. If he posts bail, he is not to have contact with the victim or go within 150-feet of the victim's home. He is also not allowed to have unsupervised contact with anyone younger than 18.

Lee's next scheduled court appearance is set for May 20.

If convicted, Lee faces a minimum of eight years in prison and would have to register as a sex offender.
