Sting musical 'The Last Ship' opens in Chicago

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Sting is in Chicago for the official opening night of his musical "The Last Ship."

Sting wrote the music and lyrics. The story is loosely based on his upbringing in a northern British shipbuilding town on the decline.

While it is Sting's musical concept, he does not perform in the production.

The Last Ship is at the Bank of America Theatre through July 13, and then it sets its course on Broadway.
