'Super Plunge' raises money for Special Olympics Illinois in Evanston

EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) -- A frigid tradition returned to Evanston Friday.

Dozens will take part in the Super Plunge into Lake Michigan. Once an hour for 24 hours, participants will jump into the water at Clark Street Beach.

The event wraps up at noon Saturday. All money raised from the event will go to Special Olympics Illinois.
