Free tax preparation program for Chicagoans expands

Tax Prep Chicago, a program that offers free tax preparation for thousands of Chicagoans, is expanding this year.

The number of sites will nearly double throughout the city.

Families making up to $50,000 or individuals who earn up to $25,000 are eligible to take advantage of the program.

Returns will be prepared by trained and certified volunteers.
