HOUSTON -- A former middle school teacher faced a judge for the first time since being accused of having sex with a 13-year-old student.

Alexandria Vera, 24, turned herself in on Wednesday, and then bonded out of jail.

A middle school teacher is wanted by authorities, accused of sexually abusing a child. There's a warrant out for her arrest.

Today the judge said she was to have no contact with anyone under the age of 17, including the minor she's accused of abusing -- a 13-year-old described as "JT." She's also not permitted near schools. The judge said if she fails to follow the restrictions she will be sent to jail.

The former Stovall Middle School teacher is accused of repeatedly having sex with the 13-year-old, and even got pregnant by him, before having an abortion.

Vera is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
