EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (WLS) -- In downstate Illinois, teachers are heading back to the bargaining table in an effort to end a strike that's entering its third week.
Teachers are walking the picket lines in East St. Louis. They met with school district officials for eight hours Tuesday, but they couldn't agree on a contract deal.
Pay is one of the main sticking points.
The district's 6,000 students have been out class since the walkout started.
