CHICAGO (WLS) -- A group of statues known as "The Watch" was vandalized over the weekend in Chicago's Grant Park.
The statues honor the Tuskegee Airman of World War II. Vandals tipped over some of the statues and broke arms and fingers off others.
"While I am outraged by these acts, I will work with the Chicago Park District to restore these statues as soon as possible, as we will not let the acts of few take away from our goal of trying to inspire others through art while expanding the reach of cultural art in Chicago," Pilsen-based artist Hebru Brantley said.
The sculptures are on the Museum Campus near The Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium.
