Suspect sought in armed robbery at Tinley Park hair salon

TINLEY PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are asking for the public's help identifying the man who robbed a hair salon at gunpoint in south suburban Tinley Park.

Authorities released a sketch and surveillance of the suspect, who police said walked into the salon in the 7200-block of West 191st Street and demanded cash around 8:45 p.m. on March 2.

Police said he walked out with an undisclosed amount of money and drove away in a silver Mistubishi Eclipse with front-end damage and a loud muffler.

The suspect is described as a white man between 35 and 45 years old with short, gray hair and gray facial hair. He was about 5 ft. 9 in. tall with a thin build.
