CHICAGO (WLS) -- There's a new legal setback for Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart in his fight against a website that he says enables human trafficking.
Dart had asked several credit card companies to stop doing business with Backpage.com, a website that hosts online sex advertisements.
Backpage.com filed suit. Now, a federal appeals court in Chicago has ruled that Dart must stop contacting those credit card companies.
In his ruling, the judge acknowledged that the website facilitates human trafficking.
