Tough love appears to work

Teenagers with strict parents make better decisions about having sex, according to a new study.

Researchers looked at 30 studies over the past 20 years involving more than 40,000 teens. Young people whose parents enforced firm rules about dating and friends were more likely to hold off on having sex.

Those same young people also tended to use condoms and contraception.
