Metra to announce winter service preparations

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Metra plans to hold a news conference later Thursday to discuss preparations the agency is taking for winter weather.

Metra also plans to show off some new equipment.

Last year, Metra had numerous delays and cancellations during the polar vortex, and many passengers complained about a lack of information regarding all the delays and canceled trains.
