CHICAGO (WLS) -- Several people trying to fly back to Chicago from Paris are stuck in the City of Lights after their pilot declared an emergency soon after takeoff and returned to Charles De Gaulle Airport.

United Airlines says that the problem was a vibration from the nose gear door.

Mary Lynch-Nicholl of Arlington Heights says she heard a very loud noise before the plane turned back.

United Airlines says it is scheduling a special flight to bring the stranded passengers home Tuesday afternoon.
