Recipes:

The Ultimate Vegan Burger

Ingredients:

When it comes to veggie burgers, my favorite burger to eat is Dr. Praeger's California Burger. I have a few rules that I follow when I eat them. First, they can be indulged with or without bread. If with bread, I like to lightly toast my bun in the skillet with vegan butter. Second, they can have any combination of the following: lettuce, red onions, avocados, shredded vegan cheese, mustard and ketchup.

Preparation:

The burgers can be made in a variety of ways. However, I love to cook my burger in a skillet by throwing a little coconut oil in the skillet and cook it for about 7 minutes, until browned.

Refreshing Summer Dessert

Ingredients:

3 heaping cups cubed watermelon

1 heaping cup frozen strawberries

1 lemon for zest

Makes about 10

Preparation:

Place the watermelon and frozen strawberry pieces into the blender and blend until smooth. Top with a zest of lemon. Serve right away to enjoy the goodness!
