Orland Park police chief to retire after decades in law enforcement, surviving Reagan assassination attempt
Timothy McCarthy, who served as Orland Park's police chief for 26 years, is planning to turn in his badge next month. He was shot in the line of duty while protecting former President Ronald Reagan during an assassination attempt.
