NORTHBROOK, Ill. (WLS) -- With the new year just starting, so many of us are thinking about getting healthier, and for some, that might include taking vitamins and minerals.
Research shows that many Americans are not eating balanced diets, leaving them deficient in critical nutrients. Many people are now using dietary supplements, which can be beneficial, but can be dangerous if not taken correctly.
Chicago-based doctors Romy Block, M.D., and Arielle Levitan, M.D., have written a new book, The Vitamin Solution: Two Doctors Clear the Confusion about Vitamins and Your Health, to help reduce the confusion. They sat down with ABC 7 Eyewitness News to talk about their book, and how to use supplements safely.
