Mother robbed at gunpoint in West Town while strolling with young daughter

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A safety alert after a mother and child were robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight.

The robbery occurred Sunday morning near Huron and Leavitt in the West Town neighborhood. The 5-year-old was pushing a toy stroller when a man jumped out of a parked car and demanded the mother's purse.

After the thief took off, the little girl was worried about her doll in the stroller. No arrests have been made.
