CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 31-year-old woman was charged in the stabbing death of her husband in Chicago's East Chatham neighborhood.
Police said around 2:35 a.m. Tuesday, Jamara Cannon and her husband, 37-year-old Michael Williams Jr., got into a fight in their home in the 8000-block of South Ingleside Avenue. She allegedly stabbed him in the neck with a knife.
Williams was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:01 a.m., the Cook County medical examiner's office said.
Cannon was arrested at the scene and charged with first-degree murder. She is due in bond court Thursday.
