Search suspended for woman who jumped in Lake Michigan near Whiting

WHITING, Ind. (WLS) -- The Coast Guard will resume their search Sunday for a young woman who jumped into Lake Michigan along the Indiana lakefront.

Thalia Rodriguez, 20, jumped from a pier near Whihala Beach in Whiting Friday night. Authorities believe she drowned.

The search was suspended earlier Saturday evening because of water conditions.
