MCHENRY, Ill. --Officials in northwest suburban McHenry renamed a street Friday in honor of Corporal Keith Nurnberg, a soldier killed in Iraq. The street is outside the home where Nurnberg was raised, at Abbey and Fairfax. Nurnberg died last September when insurgents attacked his tank with a rocket-propelled grenade.
Nurnberg was based in Fort Benning, Georgia. He died on his second deployment to Iraq.
Nurnberg left behind a wife and a 6-month-old son.
