The reward for information leading to the killer of a Chicago police officer and his friend is now $35,000. Robert Soto and Kathryn Romberg were killed August 13 as they sat in his SUV on West Franklin.

An anonymous donor has added $25,000 to the reward fund.

Wednesday, Jason Austin, the only suspect in the case, was released after witnesses changed their stories.

The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that police have arrested two teenage girls. They have been charged with beating a female witness in the case.
