New protections for airline passengers

Under new rules, passengers who are involuntarily bumped from a flight are eligible for more money. They can receive up to $1,300 if delayed a long time.

International flights that get stuck on the tarmac for more than four hours must now allow passengers to deplane or they could be fined. And if you pay a fee for a checked bag that gets lost the airline must now refund the bag fee and pay for any lost luggage.
