One new station will be located at Wabash and Washington along the track used by the Brown, Pink, Green and Orange Lines.
The other new station is planned for the near South Side at Cermak, several blocks east of the current Red Line Cermak-Chinatown station. The City of Chicago says it will serve McCormick Place and the surrounding area.
The announcement of the new stations is to come as Emanuel officially re-opens the Grand Red Line station, which has undergone years of rehabilitation work.
In addition to the two new stations, the city says Emanuel will also announce the rehabilitation of the Clark/Division Red Line station.
