A punctured gas line forced the evacuation of four buildings at the University of Illinois at Chicago campus on Tuesday.

A hazardous materials response was called when workers for a construction company hit a small gas line at 900 West Taylor Street.

Four buildings, including a science and engineering laboratory, were evacuated after the two-inch gas line was ruptured.

The leak was quickly secured and no one was injured.
