Chicago Archdiocese settles abuse case for $2.3 mil; Daniel McCormack of St. Agatha Catholic Church pleaded guilty to abusing 5 children in 2007

The Chicago Archdiocese will pay $2.3 million to settle a sexual abuse case involving a former priest.

The lawsuit claimed a man, now in his 20's, was abused by father Daniel McCormack of St. Agatha Catholic Church. In 2007, McCormack pleaded guilty to sexually abusing five children.

He was also removed from the priesthood that year.
