WOODSTOCK, Ill. (WLS) -- Woodstock fire crews battled a large barn fire Monday morning, that destroyed a local landmark.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District said in a Facebook post just after 11:15 am.. that they were fighting the blaze in the 1600-block of South Rose Farm Road.
Officials did not immediately provide any additional information about how the fire began or if there were any injuries.

Downed power lines and strong winds made for a difficult response for firefighters. The closest hydrant was also more than two miles away.
No people or animals were hurt, but the bar was destroyed. It was well-known for having signs promoting local businesses outside.
Officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
