CHICAGO (WLS) -- There was a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday evening the city's River North neighborhood.
The Chicago Fire Department confirmed they are responding to a crash involving multiple vehicles at Chicago and Michigan.
A 16-year-old boy was driving a stolen Jeep Cherokee soutbound on Michigan when it ran a red light at the Michigan intersection.
The Jeep crashed into a Dodge van, a Jeep Compass, that was facing northbound on Michigan and a Honda SUV, police said.
The teenager tried to runaway, but police said he was quickly placed into custody. A woman who was with the teen in the Cherokee was also taken into custody.
A woman and a 6-year-old girl were in the Dodge van. They were taken to the hospital and are expected to be OK.
A woman, a 4-year-old and a 6-year-old were in the Jeep Compass. They were all taken to the hospital and are expected to be okay.
There were no reported injuries from the Honda SUV.
Chicago police said charges are pending.
ABC7 was told five ambulances were sent to the scene.
