CHICAGO (WLS) -- Investigators are questioning several people after a 5-year-old girl was shot inside a home in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood.

Police said the girl was shot in the arm around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday near West 59th and South Peoria streets.

She was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in good condition and is expected to recover.

Sources said officers found a weapon in the house. Police said the shooting may have been accidental.

The 5-year-old girl is the second child shot by accident in the last two weeks.

An 8-year-old boy was shot in the stomach inside an apartment near West 13th Street and South Lawndale Avenue on April 7. Prosecutors said the boy and another child were playing with a gun when it accidentally fired.

Two adults were charged in that case, including the boy's mother. He survived the shooting.
