7-Eleven clerk stabbed during Loop robbery attempt, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 7-Eleven clerk was stabbed in the head by a male suspect who tried to rob the Loop store, police said.

The armed suspect allegedly walked into a 7-Eleven in the 100-block of North Michigan Ave around 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to police.

A store clerk suffered a minor cut to the head during the robbery, police said. He was treated on the scene and did not go to the hospital.

The suspect got away, but did not manage to steal anything.

Police are investigating the incident.
